Representing landowners and agricultural producers by providing tools, resources and support for their stewardship of land and natural resources.
Expanding our presence to support and advocate for landowners and land users in acquiring resources, while delivering services to meet existing and emerging needs to steward natural resources.
ECCD's Strategic Operating Plan lists the top priorities for the future and the goals that will move us forward to achieve our Vision.
Conservation Districts were established under the Soil Conservation Act in response to widespread land degradation during the Dust Bowl era. The Eagle County Conservation District (ECCD) was formed in 1951 and operates as a Title 35 special district.
ECCD is governed by a locally elected and appointed Board of Supervisors dedicated to serving agricultural producers, water rights holders, and landowners within district boundaries.
